It's My B-day & Guess What?

Today I am celebrating my 28th year on planet earth. I am so grateful for the life experiences that God has allowed me to experience thus far, and I look forward to the ones he has in store for me in the future.

Speaking of life experiences and birthdays....today I found out that our baby is definitely going to be a BOY! We had our 20 week ultrasound, and there was no question for anyone looking at the screen what the baby was. It made say under my breathe, and to a few of my buddies via text message, "That's my boy!!"

In all seriousness, I thank God for the gift of life. There is nothing like looking at that screen and seeing that little 11 oz baby kicking and turning. I am so excited and so grateful. I pray that God will prepare me to be a good and most importantly, godly father to my son.

Hi Scott,
I've not been stalking your blog. I have an updated blog list that let's me know when a new blog is posted by one of the links in my sidebar.

Congratulations on your preparation to have a son. I pray that the difficulties of being a father will help you to appreciate the adversity our Father has experienced. This is very important to our ministry to our children.

I pray your child is healthy and will live a life of love unto the Lord.

You and I both know that growing up was not always a pleasant experience. So, there is needed prayer for your response and your son's response to difficult times. You have this from me as well.

Scott, there is a comment on my blog that I made to Jason. It does not apply to you because, you have always respected what I am trying to do. However, it may help you to understand exactly what I am using my blog to communicate.

Again, congratulations.
Jim

Jim,
Thanks for the encouragement. We are very excited and blessed. I read your comments to Jason, and I understand what you are trying to do. It looks as though we may have some minor differences but I am certain that will not change our blogging friendship. Trying to understand one's perspective doesn't mean that we agree, but we must be respectful.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Scott.
We really do not need to agree. Our salvation is sought after with fear and trembling. So, it is not up to any of us to convince anyone. Encouragement and different perspective should be welcome, not forced.

Scott,

Congratulations! I heard the other day you were having a son. We need to get together sometime and catch up. I hope you are doing well.
